General

Kiddod Engineering Ltd. is an Israeli leading engineering company for ports and grain silos handling systems and equipment, such as:

  • Container cranes (STS)
  • Container Yard cranes RMG & RTG
  • Jib cranes
  • Mobile harbor cranes (MHC)
  • Continuous ship unloaders and loaders
  • Containers and material handling equipment such as reach stachers, forklifts, yard tractors, spreaders, grabs, hoppers etc.

Eldad Tsahor – Senior technology consultant, with 40+ years of experience in ports activities. Former technology director in Israel Ports Company – Assets and Development Ltd.

Experience in port systems and grain silos functional planning, specification, procurement and integration of cranes and other port equipment and systems.

Itzhak Polansky – Senior mechanical engineer with 35+ years of experience in ports activities. Former chief mechanical engineer in Ashdod port co.

Experience in port equipment, design, operation and maintenance.

Gil Friedler – Senior mechanical engineer with 40+ years of experience in ports activities. Former head of equipment division in Haifa port co.

Experience in port equipment, design, operation and maintenance.

Roee Kanias – Senior mechanical engineer with 15+ years of experience in port grain silos activities and bulk material handling systems.

Activities

New cranes, equipment and systems

  • Functional design for new equipment and systems, including defining operational performance, design criteria and engineering parameters.
  • Performing market study for equipment and technologies. 
  • Consult on related infrastructure – quays, rails, power supply etc.
  • Preparing technical specifications including prerequisites, evaluation criteria budget estimates etc.
  • Preparing technical and project procurement documents for international bidding.
  • Lead / consult the procurement process (technical and project aspects) including answering bidders’ questions and evaluation of technical proposals.
  • Project management and engineering support.
  • Consult and follow-up on quality assurance and quality control (QA-QC) performed by 3rd party during manufacturing, assembly and erection.
  • Monitor factory acceptance tests (FAT) and conduct site acceptance tests (SAT).
  • Support and consult on ILS aspects including spare parts.
  • Preparing equipment technical files, including maintenance procedures and protocols.
  • Support and follow-up during the warranty period and planned inspections.

Existing equipment and systems

  • Study and assessment of present equipment with regard to technical condition, life expectancy and correlation to the changing operational needs.
  • Preparing upgrade and modification technical specifications.
  • Preparing technical and project documents for contractors’ bidding.
  • Lead / consult the project (technical and project aspects) including evaluation of proposals.
  • Project management and engineering support.
  • Consult and follow-up on quality assurance and quality control (QA-QC) performed by 3rd party during manufacturing, assembly and erection.
  • Monitor factory acceptance tests (FAT) and conduct site acceptance tests (SAT).
  • Support and consult on ILS aspects including spare parts.

Maintenance and ILS

  • Assess and consult on maintenance strategy and maintenance routines.
  • Study and revise equipment maintenance files.
  • Prepare maintenance procedures and protocols.
  • Assess and consult on spare parts policy.
  • Preparing recommendations for spare parts.

Supervision management

  • Supervise and manage 3rd QA-QC companies.
  • Preparing / review QA-QC procedures
  • Study the QC reports in relation to the specifications and practice standards.
  • Recommend on corrective procedures.
  • Monitor / witness FAT as required.

Other activities

  • Survey and study on technologies, systems and equipment.
  • Conceptual planning and design – functional, operational and engineering.
  • Existing arrangements and systems – study and analysis – upgrade, modify / scape
  • Study on the condition of related infrastructure – quays, rails, etc.
